Track & Field posts two wins, 10 personal bests at Roadrunner Invitational

Abby Guidry and Anna McDonald registered victories during the Longhorns’ day of limited action in San Antonio.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Texas Track & Field program continued its early-season outdoor action on Saturday at the Roadrunner Invitational, as the Longhorns have their eyes fully on this upcoming week's 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. UT hosts the Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium, beginning Wednesday, March 27 and running through Saturday, March 30.
Abby Guidry posted a victory in the 2000m steeplechase and Anna McDonald won the 3000m to highlight the day, while 10 Longhorns set personal bests during the day. The majority of the women's distance group opened their outdoor seasons, while select pole vaulters, high jumpers, sprinters and hurdlers were also in action.
In addition to wins and PRs for Guidry and McDonald, Jared Dupree set a personal best in the high jump, Grahm Gonzalez set a career-best in the pole vault, as did Olivia Buntin, Claudine Blancaflor PR'd in the 1500m, and Destiny Collins, Jaylene Vu, Samantha Shulhan and Blancaflor all PR'd in the 800m.
The Longhorns are back in action beginning on Wednesday when they host the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium (March 27-30).
