Divers rake in three medals at USA Diving Nationals

Alison Gibson picked up a national title and Murphy Bromberg and Jordan Windle earn bronzes
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Three University of Texas divers earned medals on Tuesday afternoon at the 2019 USA Diving Nationals held at the IU Natatorium. Alison Gibson highlighted the day with her national title in 3m synchro while Murphy Bromberg (3m synchro) and Jordan Windle (platform synchro) both earned bronze medals.
Gibson teamed with Krysta Palmer to earn 292.23 points in the finals, recording a round average of 58.45 in their list of five dives. The pair threw their best dive of the finals in the third round with a 5152B for 67.50 points and sealed their title with the best dive of the final round - a 205B that was awarded 65.70 points.With her first-place finish, Gibson will join Bromberg, who won a national title in platform synchro yesterday, at the World Championships in Gywangju, South Korea that runs from July 12-28. Bromberg picked up her second medal on the week, placing third (272.70 points) in the 3m synchro with her partner Brooke Schultz. The pairing had the highest scoring dives in rounds one (48.60 points) and four (67.50 points) for the bronze medal.
Windle joined Brandon Loschiavo of Purdue to take third-place (369.57 points) in the finals of platform synchro after winning the prelims (396.36 points) earlier. Loschiavo also competed with David Dinsmore, with the pair earning a national title in the event with 414.39 points.
