No. 4 Volleyball takes down No. 14 USC, 3-1

AUSTIN, Texas - No. 4 Texas Volleyball defeated No.14 USC, 3-1; 23-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-21, on Sunday afternoon in front of a sold-out crowd in Gregory Gym to move to 2-0 on the young season.
Sophomore Logan Eggleston led all players with 16 kills, two blocks, five digs and a career-best five aces, while freshman Skylar Fields added 14 kills, hitting .435, and three blocks. Senior Micaya White also posted double-digit kills with 12 and added eight digs. Freshman Asjia O'Neal chipped five kills, three aces and three blocks, while freshman Molly Phillips added four blocks.
Sophomore Sydney Petersen led Texas in digs with 10, while seniors Autumn Rounsaville and Claire Hahn added six and four, respectively. Sophomore setter Jhenna Gabriel contributed eight digs to go along with 35 assists, while leading the team for a .304 hitting percentage.
Texas has another quick turnaround before facing No. 3 Minnesota in Gregory Gym on Wednesday, September 4 at 7 p.m.
