Notes
- The No. 3 University of Texas women's golf team opens its 2019-20 season at the prestigious ANNIKA Intercollegiate at Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn., this Monday through Wednesday. It is the third consecutive year in which the Longhorns will be part of the highly decorated field.
- The 12-team field features 11 squads ranked among the nation's top-25 according to the Women's Golf Coaches Association Preseason Rankings, including six top-10 teams. Among the participants are 2019 NCAA Champion Duke and 2019 NCAA runner-up Wake Forest.
- Play on the par-72, 6,410-yard course begins with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. CT Monday. The teams will play 54 holes – 18 each on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
- The Longhorns are coming off one of the most successful seasons in program history in 2018-19. Texas finished as the NCAA Championship stroke-play medalist and advanced to the quarterfinals in match play.
- Texas has won three consecutive Big 12 Championships entering the 2018-19 season and the Longhorns captured the 2019 championship by a conference-record 37 strokes.
- The Longhorns return each of the five golfers in their postseason lineup from a year ago, which includes four top-10 finishers at the NCAA Championship and three WGCA First-Team All-Americans.
