No. 3 Volleyball falls at No. 1 Stanford, 3-2

Five-set thriller falls in favor of No. 1 Stanford despite a career performance from Logan Eggleston.
STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 3 Texas Volleyball team fell at No. 1 Stanford on Sunday afternoon, 3-2 (25-17, 18-25, 11-25, 25-21, 12-15) despite a career day from sophomore Logan Eggleston. Eggleston put down a career-best 19 kills, hitting .302, and added five digs, three aces and a block.
Senior Micaya White also tallied 19 kills, hitting .372, with six digs and three blocks. Freshman Molly Phillips put down 11 kills on a clip of .474, adding a match-high seven blocks. Fellow middle blocker Asjia O'Neal added seven kills on .545 hitting with two blocks and three digs.
Sophomore setter Jhenna Gabriel dished out 52 assists with nine digs. Defensively, sophomore libero Sydney Petersen recorded a match-high 16 digs.
Texas dropped to 3-1 on the season. The Longhorns return to action on Friday, Sept. 13 at 4:30 p.m. CT, when they take on BYU in a neutral-site match.
