No. 1 Volleyball takes down Texas Tech

The Longhorns hit a season-high .483 as a team and cruised to a three-set win.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 1 Texas Volleyball cruised to a second-straight sweep of Texas Tech, 25-17, 25-15, 25-12, Friday night at the Frank Erwin Center. The Longhorns improved to 10-0 this season with their eight sweep.
Logan Eggleston led the Longhorns with 13 kills, eight digs and four blocks. The junior hit .382 in the match. Skylar Fields finished with 11 kills, hitting .688, and added three digs and one block. Asjia O'Neal added nine kills and six blocks, while celebrating her birthday.
Brionne Butler and Molly Phillips each added six kills apiece, while Butler had two blocks.
Jhenna Gabriel dished out 30 assists and added four digs. Nalani Iosia finished with a team-high 14 digs and had five service aces. Morgan O'Brien had 12 digs, three service aces and three assists.
Texas will have a week off following the postponement of their matches at TCU. The Longhorns will return to action against No. 2 Baylor, Nov. 5-6 at 7 p.m. at the Erwin Center.
