• Texas bested the Cowboys, 36-30, at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium last season, its first win over OSU under head coach Tom Herman}
• After Texas won 12-straight meetings from 1998-2009, the Cowboys have won seven of the last 10 meetings between the schools since 2010.

• Saturday's matchup in Stillwater will mark the 19th time that Texas has played on Halloween in its history, and the Longhorns' first such contest since 2015.
• UT is 15-2-1 all-time when playing on Halloween, a mark that includes a road win over then-No. 13 Oklahoma State in 2009.
• The Longhorns are 3-1 all-time against ranked opponents and 7-2-1 on the road in games played on Halloween.
TEXAS VS. THE TOP 25
• Texas holds an 8-9 record against top-25 foes during Tom Herman's three seasons as head coach. The Longhorns are 7-5 against ranked opponents since the start of the 2018 season after going just 1-4 against top-25 teams in 2017, Herman's first season in charge.
• In 2018, the Longhorns bested No. 5 Georgia, No. 7 Oklahoma, No. 17 TCU, No. 18 Iowa State and No. 22 USC.
• Texas' 2018 wins over No. 22 USC and No. 17 TCU came in consecutive weeks, marking the first time UT defeated top-25 foes in back-to-back weeks since 2008.
• Last season, Texas picked up two ranked victories, first defeating No. 16 Kansas State, 27-24, in Austin. Later, the Longhorns bested No. 11 Utah, 38-10, in the Valero Alamo Bowl.

• Including the 2020 season, Herman has spent 17 of his 23 seasons as a coach in the state of Texas on the collegiate level.
• Herman graduated from Cal Lutheran and received his master's degree in education from The University of Texas.
ROAD SUCCESS
• During Tom Herman's three seasons as head coach, Texas is 8-5 in true Big 12 road games (in opponents' home stadiums).
• Texas' record moves to 9-9 away from Austin when including the neutral-site Texas-OU games.
• In the three years prior to Herman's arrival, Texas was 5-7 in true Big 12 road games, including just a 2-6 mark over the two seasons before he took over.
• That record extends to 6-9 if you include the neutral-site AT&T Red River Showdown games contested during that three-year stretch.
