No. 1 Volleyball beats No. 13 West Virginia, 3-1

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – No. 1 Texas Volleyball rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat No. 13 West Virginia, 21-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-15, Thursday night at WVU Coliseum. The Longhorns remain undefeated and pick up their 13th win of the season.
Logan Eggleston led the Longhorns with her third double-double of the season, finishing with 17 kills and 11 digs. Eggleston hit .395 in the match and added two blocks, two service aces and one assist. Skylar Fields had a big night as well, finishing with 13 kills, six blocks and six digs.
The reigning Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, Brionne Butler, picked up where she left off and finished with nine blocks and eight kills. Asjia O'Neal added seven kills and three blocks, while Molly Phillips had six kills and five blocks.
Jhenna Gabriel dished out 41 assists and added seven digs and one ace. Nalani Iosia and Morgan O'Brien each finished with 10 digs, while Iosia added six assists.
The Longhorns narrowly dropped the first set before winning the next three in resounding fashion. The third set featured a 10-0 run by Texas to put the set out of reach.
Texas and West Virginia will square off again on Friday at 5 p.m. CT at WVU Coliseum.
