Baseball’s recruiting class ranked No. 8 by Baseball America

The Longhorns have produced three-straight top-10 recruiting classes.
AUSTIN, Texas – For the third-consecutive season, Texas Baseball's recruiting class has received a top-10 ranking by Baseball America, checking in at No. 8 nationally. Last season's Longhorn class was ranked No. 10 by Baseball America.
The 13-man recruiting class consists of two graduate transfers, a junior college transfer and 10 freshmen. Outfielder Mike Antico (St. Johns/Colts Neck, N.J.) and right-handed pitcher Palmer Wenzel (UTSA/San Antonio, Texas) are graduate transfers and infielder Ivan Melendez (Odessa College/El Paso, Texas) is a junior college transfer.
In the freshmen class there are two infielders, five right-handed pitchers and three left-handed pitchers. The infielders include Dylan Campbell (Houston, Texas/Strake Jesuit HS) and Mitchell Daly (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS). The five right-handed pitchers are Lebarron Johnson Jr. (Jacksonville, Fla./Paxon School), Aaron Nixon (McAllen, Texas/McAllen HS), Travis Sthele (San Antonio, Texas/Reagan HS), Reid Taylor (Woden, Texas/Woden HS) and Tanner Witt (Houston, Texas/Episcopal HS). The left-handers are Lucas Gordon (Los Angeles, Calif./Notre Dame HS), Caden Noah (Longview, Texas/Spring Hill HS) and Dalton Porter (Leander, Texas/Rouse HS). Among those pitchers, Nixon (infield), Porter (outfield) and Witt (infield) are two-way players.
