Volleyball takes down Oklahoma, 3-1

NORMAN, Okla – Led by five Longhorns with double-digit kills, Texas Volleyball took down Oklahoma, 25-14, 25-20, 27-29, 25-13, in four sets on Friday at McCasland Field House.
Logan Eggleston led the Longhorns for the second-straight night, totaling 18 kills to go with two digs and one block. Skylar Fields finished with 16 kills and added three digs and two blocks. Brionne Butler had 12 kills and five blocks, while Molly Phillips also had 12 and three blocks. Asjia O'Neal finished with 11 kills and five blocks.
Jhenna Gabriel set a new career-high with 58 assists and added nine digs, three blocks and one service ace.
Texas cruised to winning the first set, jumping out to a 12-4 start and never looking back. After a closer second set win for the Longhorns, OU won a back-and-forth, 29-27, third set.
The Longhorns will be back in action for their home opener against Kansas at the Frank Erwin Center.
