No. 1 Volleyball sweeps Kansas on Sunday

The Longhorns started fast and never slowed down in a three-set win over the Jayhawks.
LAWRENCE, Kan. – No. 1 Texas Volleyball cruised to a 3-0 sweep of Kansas, 25-11, 25-16, 25-18, on Sunday at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena.
After dropping the first two sets on Saturday, the Longhorns finished the weekend with six-straight sets won to remain unbeaten on the season. Texas hit .417 in the match and held Kansas to an .038 hitting percentage.
The Longhorn middles were dominant in the match, as Brionne Butler led Texas with 13 kills and hit .550 and Asjia O'Neal finished with 10 kills on just 12 attacks.
Logan Eggleston had 12 kills and three digs, hitting .522 and Skylar Fields had 10 kills and three digs.
Jhenna Gabriel had 27 assists and nearly another double-double with seven digs. Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torress added 11 assists in the match. Nalani Iosia had a team-high 15 digs and finished with four assists.
The Longhorns jumped out to a lightning fast start in the first set, leading 12-3 and never looking back. That first game set the tone for the rest of the match and Texas cruised to the 3-0 win.
Texas returns to Gregory Gym next week, hosting TCU for a pair of matches on Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m.
