No. 2 Volleyball sweeps Kansas State

The Longhorns hit .398 and held Kansas State to under a .100 hitting in a straight sweep of the Wildcats.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 2 Texas Volleyball swept Kansas State, 25-16, 25-16, 25-15, on Thursday at Gregory Gymnasium.
The Longhorns (21-1, 12-1) outhit the Kansas State .398 to .099 and out-blocked the Wildcats 7-2.
Skylar Fields led Texas with 13 kills, hitting .448 in the match. She also had two digs and one assist. Logan Eggleston had 12 kills and a .400 hitting percentage with eight digs and two blocks.
Brionne Butler finished with five kills and five blocks, while Molly Phillips had five kills and two blocks.
Jhenna Gabriel had her second double-double of the season with 22 assists and 10 digs.
The Longhorns jumped out to a 1-0 lead after excelling in every faze during the first set. Texas hit .385, had four service aces and four blocks. The second set was just as dominant as the Longhorns hit .500 and had four more service aces.
Texas and Kansas State will square off again on Friday at 7 p.m.
