No. 4 Volleyball advances to Regional Final with 3-1 win over Penn State

The Longhorns rallied after dropping the first set to advance to their 15th NCAA Regional Final in the last 17 seasons.
OMAHA, Neb. – No. 4 Texas Volleyball beat No. 13 Penn State, 3-1, to advance to the program's 15th NCAA Regional Final in the last 17 seasons. The Longhorns will now face Nebraska for a spot in the final four for the 13th time in program history.
Logan Eggleston led Texas with 22 kills and added eight digs, two blocks, one service ace and one assist. Skylar Fields was outstanding, with a career-high 21 kills, while hitting .500 in the match. Asjia O'Neal finished with 13 kills and three blocks and also hit .500 in the match.
Jhenna Gabriel put up huge numbers, finishing with 55 assists and 18 digs for her sixth double-double of the season. The 55 assists are just shy of her career high of 58.
Molly Phillips added eight kills and three blocks, while Brionne Butler had six kills and four blocks.
Nalani Iosia finished with 10 digs, five assists and one service ace. Sydney Petersen also had 10 digs, while Morgan O'Brien had nine digs, three aces and two assists.
Texas held a 22-19 lead in the first set before Penn State rallied to steal the first set. The Longhorns bounced right back and built a big lead in the second set before cruising to a 25-18 win. The third set was an intense back-and-forth affair that finished 30-28. Following the outstanding third set, Texas finished off Penn State with a commanding 25-17 fourth set.
