Kaitlyn Papp is tied for sixth individually at 3-under par.

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – The No. 15 Texas women's golf team shot a 1-under 287 on Tuesday in the second round of the NCAA Louisville Regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club. After two rounds of play, the Longhorns are 8-under par and in fifth place, seven shots behind leaders Florida State.

Kaitlyn Papp had an impressive round, finishing the day with a 3-under 69 and is now tied for sixth at 3-under for the week, three shots behind the leader. After starting the morning off with a bogey on the first hole, the senior finished out the round at par or better over the final 17 frames. Papp carded four birdies, including two on the sixth and eighth holes that placed her in the red for the first time in the regional. She opened the back nine with a birdie on the 10th hole and added another on the twelfth.

Behind Papp, Agathe Laisne fired an even-par 72 and is tied for 16th at 1-over after the second day of play in Louisville. Laisne was solid throughout the round with three birdies and three bogeys while making par on 12 holes. The senior birdied the ninth, 10th and 15th holes.

Sara Kouskova shot an even par-72 and is 4-over in the regional to sit in a tie for 31st. Kouskova led the Longhorns in birdies for the second straight day, carding five in the round including three in the final four holes and five over the final 10. The junior made par on eight holes and had five bogeys.

Rounding out the Longhorns' lineup, Bentley Cotton is tied for 62nd at 8-over par in the regional and Hailee Cooper is tied for 68th at 9-over after shooting a 2-over 74 on Tuesday with birdies on the fifth, eighth, 10th and 17th holes.

Texas will tee off for the final round of the NCAA Louisville Regional on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. CT with playing partners Louisville and Michigan State. Live results will be available throughout the round on Golfstat.com.
