• The No. 23 men's program head into Lubbock as one of two ranked teams behind No. 4 ranked Oklahoma State.
• Sophomore Isaac Alonzo returns home to Lubbock where he still holds the high school 5K record
• All 10 men scheduled to compete for the Longhorns all competed in high school in the state of Texas
• All-American track runner Crayton Carrozza will make his cross country season debut in the 8K
• The men finished third at the 2021 Big 12 meet led by Cruz Gomez's 11th-place finish
• Beth Ramos is in the hunt for her ninth-straight race leading the Longhorns as the top finisher
• Valery Tobias continues to improve her cross country efforts and looks to make a difference on the young squad
• Monica Hebner will make her season debut in Lubbock
• Texas women finished fourth last season with 134 points and were led by Ramos' 19th-place finish
