The Longhorns topped the defending NCAA Champions.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 3 Texas Women's Swimming and Diving team defeated the defending NCAA champions and No. 1 Virginia, 95-91.
The women began the day by winning the 400 medley relay with an NCAA-B cut time of 3:33.51 by Emma Sticklen, Anna Elendt, Dakota Luther and Kelly Pash. Texas scored 15 points in the relay after Olivia Bray, Lydia Jacoby, Grace Cooper and Bridget Semenuk finished second with a time of 3:35.39.
Sophomore Erica Sullivan tallied the second win of the day after clocking in at 9:51.24 n the 1000 free.
Bridget O'Neil continued her dominant season in diving after sweeping both events against the Cavaliers. O'Neil won the 1-meter with 310.43 points and completed her sweep on the 3-meter with 362.18 points.
Dakota Luther hit the NCAA-B cut after winning the 200 fly with her time of 1:53.83, while Pash also made the B-cut with her time of 1:54.38 to finish second.
Freshman Lydia Jacoby won her first collegiate race in the 200 breast with an NCAA-B standard time of 2:09.19, while Elendt finished fourth with her time of 2:11.16.
Pash finished third in the women's 200 IM with her time of 1:57.75 and Bray added a second-place performance in the 200 back with her time of 1:55.88, another NCAA-B standard time.
