The Longhorns get their 2022 spring season underway on Monday and Tuesday at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.

Tournament Notes
The Field: In addition to the Longhorns (No. 11 in the final Fall WGCA Coaches Poll, released on Nov. 19, 2021), the 14-team Lamkin Invitational field includes: No. 1 Stanford, No. 4 Oregon, No. 13 San Jose State, No. 14 UCLA, No. 15 Arizona, No. 20 USC, No. 21 Arizona State, No. 23 Ole Miss, Cal, Colorado, Kansas, Pepperdine and host San Diego State. In the opening round, UT will be paired with USC and Kansas, with play beginning at 8 a.m. PST / 10 a.m. CT on holes 2-5 with a shotgun start. Second round action is set to begin at approximately 12:30 p.m. PST / 2:30 p.m. CT on Monday with the final round teeing off on Tuesday at 8 a.m. PST / 10 a.m. CT.

The Last Time: Texas last played in the tournament, then tabbed March Mayhem at The Farms Golf Club in 2018, when it was a match play event. The Longhorns finished as the runner up to USC that year. UT also finished second overall in stroke play at that event that year.
Polling: In addition to the WGCA Final Fall Poll, where Texas ranked No.11, the Longhorns also rank 11th in the most recent Golfweek (released Feb. 7) and Golfstat (released Nov. 30, 2021) polls.
Texas' Fall Season: Texas played in four fall tournaments. The Longhorns traveled to Illinois and posted their top team finish with a fourth-place showing at the Windy City Collegiate Classic (Oct. 4-5). Texas was fifth at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate Presented by 3M in Minnesota to open the fall from Sep. 13-15. UT's other tournaments were the Stanford Collegiate (Oct. 15-17 / T6th) and Landfall Tradition (Oct. 29-31 / 7th). Senior Sara Kouskova registered the Horns' top individual finish, taking second-place at the Stanford Intercollegiate (201/-12), while freshman Bohyun Park was third at the Windy City Collegiate Classic (215/-1). Kouskova tied her career-best round of 66 at the Stanford Intercollegiate. For Park, it was the Windy City Collegiate effort that marked a second-straight top-10 finish to open her UT career as she also led the Longhorns and tied for 10th at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in her collegiate debut.
