- Texas and Florida have matched up just once all-time, tying 1-1 (2OT) last season in Gainesville. Defender Carlee Allen scored the Longhorns goal at the 60:01 mark before the Gators equalized with just 3:10 remaining in regulation. UT is 37-32-10 all-time against members of the Southeastern Conference.
- On Sunday, Texas head coach Angela Kelly will face off against new Florida head coach Samantha (Baggett) Bohon, a former assistant on Kelly's coaching staff at Tennessee from 2001-04. During her stint with the Lady Vols, Bohon helped the program to two Southeastern Conference titles and three consecutive NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearances.
- Thursday's announced crowd of 3,264 fans against No. 1 North Carolina marked the eighth-largest attendance in Texas program history. The all-time record of 5,585 fans was established back on Sept. 26, 2008, against Texas A&M.
- With 18 assists over her first 27 career matches, sophomore midfielder Lexi Missimo is already tied for 10th all-time in helpers in Texas program history (tied with Haley Berg, Cyera Hintzen, Kylie Doniak, Kelly McDonald).
- Texas holds a 30-22-4 overall record in matches following a loss (that total doesn't carry over losses from end of a season to the next) under the guidance of head coach Angela Kelly.
- Texas proved to be dangerous off set pieces during its opening match against Lipscomb, scoring three of its five total goals off corners (two) or free kicks (one). Sophomore defender EmJ Cox scored the opener/match-winner just 6:01 into the contest by leaping high to head home a feed off a corner. During the 27th minute, Lexi Missimo delivered a corner into the 18-yard-box that eventually turned into Liz Worden's first collegiate goal. At the 67:00 mark, fifth-year senior defender Cameron Brooks leapt high to head home a Missimo free kick.
- Texas' roster is dominated by players from a pair of standout club soccer programs, Solar SC (Dallas area) & the Vancouver Whitecaps (Canada). Previously coached at Solar SC by Derek Missimo (Lexi's dad), the Longhorns currently boast a staggering 11 different players from the program (Byars, McFarland, Missimo, Nobles, Claros, Lapomarda, Sydney Cox, EmJ Cox, Miller, Sproat, Dellosso), while freshman Olivia Ahern joins Holly Ward, Emma Regan & Teni Akindoju as products of the Whitecaps system. In all, 15-of-29 Texas players come from the two programs (52%).
- Texas fifth-year senior midfielder/defender Emma Regan has been voted as one of the team leaders for a reason. It's because she provides a consistent presence for the Longhorns. The Burnaby, British Columbia, native has played in Texas' last 62 matches and is riding a streak of 60 consecutive starts dating back to Oct. 25, 2018. For her career, Regan has played in 70 total matches with 69 starts. As a freshman in 2018, she missed her only collegiate matches due to a Team Canada call-up for senior-level international duty at the CONCACAF Women's Championship.
- The Longhorns have won 43 consecutive matches in which they scored two-or-more goals in a contest dating back to the start of the 2017 season. The last time Texas failed to win when tickling the twine on two occasions was in a 3-2 defeat at TCU back on Oct. 28, 2016.
- UT is 36-4-3 since the start of the 2018 season when scoring first in a match & is 1-0-0 in such contests in 2022.
- After going just 2-8 in one-goal matches back in 2016, the Longhorns have turned around their fortunes by going 32-17 in their last 49 one-goal matches since beginning 2017.
