No. 2 Men’s Swim and Dive splits double dual-meet with No. 13 Ohio State and No. 14 Alabama

Texas topped the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, Ala. but fell to the Buckeyes in double dual-meet action.
TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – No. 2 Texas Men's Swimming and Diving defeated No. 14 Alabama, 220.50-132.50, and fell to No. 13 Ohio State, 189-164, in a two-day double dual-meet that concluded on Saturday at the Alabama Aquatic Center.
Jake Foster and Carson Foster highlighted the day for Texas, winning the 200 breast (1:56.08) and 200 IM (1:45.03), respectively.
Texas divers opened the day's scoring for Texas with a trio of top-five finishes on the 3-meter. Nick Harris placed second with 395.95 points, while Noah Duperre placed third with 386.50 points and Brendan McCourt tallied 347.35 points to take fifth.
The Longhorns followed that with a second-place finish in the 400 medley relay, as Carson Foster, Jake Foster, Cole Crane and Daniel Krueger combined to post a time of 3:10.16.
Carson Foster added a runner-up finish in the 200 back (1:42.76) and Jake Foster took second in the 200 IM (1:45.79), while Peter Larson took third in the 100 free (44.05).
Crane also posted a third-place finish in the 100 fly, touching the wall in 48.47.
Texas finished the meet placing third in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:20.38.
Texas will host No. 5 NC State on Jan. 27-28 at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
