Cross Country Men & Women Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

Seven individuals earned All-Academic honors
AUSTIN, Texas – The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Association announced both the men and women's cross country program were named All-Academic Teams for its accomplishments both on and off the course in 2022.
In order to qualify for the All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. The men's team carried a 3.41 GPA, while the women boasted a GPA of 3.44.
Five Longhorn men were also tabbed with All-Academic distinction after maintaining a 3.25 GPA and a top-25 finish at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
Isaac Alonzo, Abraham Avila-Martinez, Haftu Knight, Rodger Rivera and Emmanuel Sgouros all earned the honor for the Horns. Knight led the Longhorns at the NCAA Championships becoming the 20th Cross Country All-American in Texas history after finishing 27th at the meet.
On the women's side, Isabel Hebner and Beth Ramos earned the individual award after they both finished in the 25 at the NCAA South Central Regional in College Station, Texas.
