No. 8 Women’s Golf Preview: Therese Hession Regional Challenge

AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 8 University of Texas women's golf team open the spring season with the Therese Hession Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., February 12-14.
Teams will play tee times off #1 and #10 on Sunday and Monday and a shotgun start on Tuesday. The Longhorns will tee off on #10 on Sunday and will play with Baylor, Florida, and Kentucky.
The full field includes: Arizona, Baylor, Florida, Georgetown, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio State, Oregon, Pepperdine, San Jose State, SMU, Stanford, Texas, UCLA, USC and Washington.
Texas golfers: Angela Heo, Sophie Guo, Bohyun Park, Bentley Cotton and Cindy Hsu.
The teams will play the Palos Verdes Golf Club, a par-71, 6,017-yard layout.

The Longhorns posted two runner-up finishes in the fall season and finished in the top-six in all four of their tournaments. Texas recorded a 46-10 head-to-head record in the fall season.
Bohyun Park recorded a runner-up finish at The ANNIKA Intercollegiate and freshman Cindy Hsu finished in eighth-place. At the Momorial Sophie Guo finished in seventh-place and Cindy Hsu earned another top-10 as she finished in 10th place. At the Windy City Collegiate Classic Bentley Cotton was the top Longhorn with a third-place finish. In their final fall tournament, the Stanford Intercollegiate, freshman Angela Heo finished in fourth-place.
