Volleyball tops 2023 Big 12 Preseason Poll

The Longhorns are the preseason pick to win the conference for the 13th consecutive year.
AUSTIN, Texas – For the 16th time in program history and the 13th consecutive year, Texas Volleyball has been voted the favorite in the Big 12 for the upcoming season. The preseason poll is determined by league head coaches, who are not permitted to vote for their own team.
Since 2011, Texas has lost a total of 10 conference matches for a record of 182-10 (.949), which included three perfect records of 16-0 (2013, 2017 and 2020).
The Longhorns won their sixth-straight Big 12 Championship in 2022 and won the program's fourth National Championship title.
This season marks the first year that BYU, UCF, Cincinnati and Houston will compete in the Big 12. Three of the four new members made the NCAA Tournament in 2022.
