Texas will look to extend its 19-match unbeaten streak in Big 12 play to 20 with Thursday’s matchup against Texas Tech
AUSTIN, Texas – Following a seven-day break in action, The University of Texas women's soccer program will return to action on Thursday, Sept. 21, when the Longhorns play host to No. 25 Texas Tech at 7 p.m. It'll mark the first home match for UT since a 0-0 tie against then-No. 23 Gonzaga on Sunday, Sept. 10.
Alex Loeb (play by play) and Glenn Davis (analyst) will be in the booth during the match's broadcast on Longhorn Network and the ESPN app.
KICKING OFF
- A win for Texas over Texas Tech on Thursday night would mark the 150th all-time victory for the Longhorns over a Big 12 Conference opponent.
- Texas will enter Thursday evening's match against the Red Raiders with a 149-67-30 (.667) all-time record against Big 12 foes.
- Texas holds an 18-9-4 all-time record against Texas Tech, including a 10-3-3 mark against the Red Raiders in matches played in Austin.
- Texas Tech was the last Big 12 women's soccer program to knock off Texas during the regular season when the Red Raiders won, 1-0, in Lubbock on Nov. 6, 2020.
- The Longhorns have responded from that loss by winning their next 19 consecutive regular season conference matches entering Thursday's action.

- If Texas knocks off Texas Tech Thursday night, it would mark the third consecutive season the Longhorns have opened Big 12 play by not dropping its first two conference matches, which would tie the longest such streak under 12th-year head coach Angela Kelly.
- The Longhorns also accomplished the feat from 2017 to 2019.

- Texas will enter Thursday's match as the only Division I women's soccer program to feature multiple student-athletes ranked among the top five in the country in both total goals and total assists.
- Lexi Missimo is second in the country with 12 goals and first with 15 assists.
- Trinity Byars is fifth in the nation with 10 goals and tied for fourth with seven assists.
- A clean sheet by two-time Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week Mia Justus against Texas Tech would mark the fifth consecutive solo clean sheet for the first-year Longhorn, which would be the longest such streak in program history.
