No. 9 Volleyball sweeps Oklahoma again

NORMAN, Okla. – No. 9 Texas Volleyball completed the season sweep of Oklahoma, 25-22, 25-13, 25-12, on Saturday at McCasland Field House.
The Longhorns (7-3, 2-0) hit over .300 for the second-straight match, finished with 10 blocks and held Oklahoma to an .092 hitting percentage.
Madisen Skinner led Texas with 11 kills on just 18 swings, while Jenna Wenaas had seven kills and hit .300.
Ella Swindle dished out 23 assists and added four kills, three blocks and three digs.
Asjia O'Neal had a team high five blocks and added four kills, while Molly Phillips had four kills and three blocks.
Emma Halter led the Longhorns with 10 digs and chipped in five assists.
The teams went back-and-forth throughout the first set and the teams were tied 21-21 before the Longhorns closed it on a 4-1 run. Texas had four blocks in the first set, including on set point to win it 25-22.
Texas cruised to a 25-13 win in the second set, hitting a ridiculous .632 and holding Oklahoma to a .100 hitting percentage.
The Longhorns cruised yet again in the final set, holding the Sooners to a negative hitting percentage to close out the sweep.
Texas will return home to Gregory Gym next week to host BYU on Thursday at 8 p.m. and Friday at 7 p.m.
