No. 2 Men's TF concludes day one at John Thomas Terrier Collegiate Classic

Lindhorst runs 10th-fastest 800m time in Texas history.
BOSTON, Mass. – The No. 2 Texas men's track and field team competed on the first day of the John Thomas Terrier Collegiate Classic in the distance carnival events.
Junior Cole Lindhorst began the day finishing second in the 800-meter dash with his time of 1:47.49. The time ranks at the 10th-fastest time in Texas history, after previously running the No. 8 time in school history in his season opener in 1:47.39. Freshman Evan MacGregor finished 29th with his time of 1:52.92.
Junior Isaac Alonzo later led a field of Longhorns in the mile, finishing with a time of 4:02.48. Sophomore Emmanuel Sgouros later ran a three-second personal-best time of 4:04.41, while sophomore Logan Patete also set a PB in 4:07.47. Lindhorst returned to the track for his second event of the day and finished in 4:08.56.
Freshman Zain Hamdani finished the mile in 4:16.11, Jack Boyd in 4:16.13 and Chris Riley finished in 4:24.13.
Sophomore Hudson Heikkinen lead four Longhorns in the 3,000-meter run with his time of 8:15.75, a five-second indoor personal best. Haftu Knight opened his indoor season finishing in 8:16.10, Nigusom Knight finished in 8:16.21and Trey Rios made his UT debut in 8:16.42.
