No. 9 Men’s Swim & Dive wins three events on third day of Big 12 Championship

Texas has collected victories in 10 of 12 events during the conference meet.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – No. 9 Texas Men's Swimming & Diving added three more event victories on day three of the Big 12 Conference Championship at The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park on Thursday. The Longhorns have won 10 of 12 events through during the first three days of competition.
Coby Carrozza earned his second individual victory of the meet, winning the 200 free with a time of 1:32.63, adding to his medal haul after winning the 500 free yesterday and collecting gold in the 800 free relay on the first day of competition. Texas has now 26 consecutive Big 12 Conference titles in the 200 free and 27 overall.
Noah Duperre followed with a win on 1-meter, scoring 446.80 points to earn the victory by 35 points. It marks the second career Big 12 title for Duperre, who one on platform last season.
Texas closed out the night with a win in the 400 medley relay, as Will Modglin, Will Scholtz, Cole Crane and Alec Filipovic cruised to a victory with an A-cut time of 3:04.04. The moves the Longhorns to 13th in the nation in the event this season.
The Big 12 Championship continues Friday with prelims beginning at 9:00 a.m. CT and finals starting at 5:00 p.m. CT. The final session will be streamed live on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

Team Notes
- Texas swept the top-four spots in the 200 free. Carrozza was followed by runner-up Nate Germonprez (1:33.00) and Camden Taylor (1:33.90), while Manning Haskal (1:35.82) placed fourth.
- The Longhorns swept the top-three positions on 3-meter, as Brendan McCourt scored 411.80 points to place second and Tanner Braunton tallied 410.10 points to finish third.
- Crane earned a silver medal in the 100 fly with a time of 45.98.
- Alec Enyeart won bronze in the 400 IM with a season-best swim of 3:47.74
- During the 3-meter prelims, Braunton and Pierce Brooke posted qualifying scores for the USA Diving 2024 Olympic Trials.
