PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. — Heavy rains caused the Therese Hession Regional Challenge to cancel the final matches of the event.
Texas was set to square off against South Carolina in the championship match, but that was canceled. Texas and South Carolina finished the event tied for first place.
The Longhorns went 3-0 in their matches on the weekend with wins over No. 5 USC, No. 10 Florida and No. 24 Arizona State.
Farah O'Keefe and Bohyun Park each individually won all three of their matches. All five Longhorns recorded victories over the course of the weekend.
"Given the weather and circumstances this week, I was very pleased with the outcome," Texas head coach Ryan Murphy said. "It was great for the folks here to get ahead of the weather and get three rounds in. And for us to go 3-0 against 3 really strong teams was terrific. It was a team effort with everyone getting a win for the team and terrific performances from Bo and Farah with their 3-0 performances. Overall very proud of this team's effort!"
Next up the Longhorns will travel to Hilton Head, S.C. for the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate March 4-6.
