Baseball’s Belyeu named Big 12 Player of the Week

The Longhorns’ outfielder blasted four homers and drove in 10 runs during the week.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball's Max Belyeu has been named the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Belyeu tied the program record by hitting three home runs in Sunday's series finale against Baylor. The eighth Longhorn to hit three homers in a game, Belyeu hit solo shots in the first and fourth innings and launched a grand slam in the eighth.
For the week, the Aledo, Texas product batted .500 with a double, four home runs and 10 RBI. Belyeu also finished without a strikeout during the week and notched his third outfield assist of the season.
This is Belyeu's second weekly award of the season after being named Co-Player of the Week following the series win over Texas Tech.
The Longhorns will close out their season-long 10-game homestand by hosting Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
