LEADING OFF
- Based on the USA Softball/ESPN.com Top 25 poll, this weekend's three-game Big 12 Conference series against Baylor will mark the eighth, ninth and 10th consecutive game for the Texas Longhorns against a ranked opponent dating back to Thursday, March 28, when UT took on No. 10 Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla.
- A potential sweep of the three-game series against the Baylor Bears would give Texas' sixth-year head coach Mike White his 240th all-time win at the helm of the Longhorn softball program.
- White will enter Friday night's, series-opening game in Waco with a 237-77-2 (.753) record as the head coach of the Texas Longhorns.
- With two more hits, sophomore Viviana Martinez (98) will join Mia Scott (190), Alyssa Washington (117) and Bella Dayton (102) as the only active Longhorn softball student-athletes to be credited with 100-or-more hits during their collegiate softball careers wearing the Texas Burnt Orange and White.
- Fellow sophomore Reese Atwood is five hits shy from joining the group as well.
- With her next stolen base, Mia Scott will reach the 50-career stolen base milestone.
- Scott, a junior, has successfully stolen 49 bases in 56 attempts.
- She's also the Longhorns' active leader in career stolen bases with Bella Dayton right behind her with 29 during her time on the Forty Acres.
- Having been credited with the win in Texas' last two games, Estelle Czech will enter this weekend's series against the Bears needing only one more victory to become the latest 30-game winner in the program's history.
- In three seasons on the Forty Acres, Czech has amassed a 29-9 record in 230.2 innings pitched.
- She arrived at Texas after spending the 2021 season at NC State, where she earned four wins in 73.2 innings pitched.
- Mac Morgan, who is in her second season as a member of the Texas Longhorn softball program, is the next closest to the 30-win mark as the junior has earned 26 wins in 53 appearances, including 35 starts, since transferring to the Forty Acres prior to the 2023 season after spending the 2022 campaign at Arizona State.
- In three seasons on the Forty Acres, Czech has amassed a 29-9 record in 230.2 innings pitched.
- With a win on Friday in Waco, Texas will have earned its 12th win in a true road game this season, which would tie the 2019 team for the third-most road wins in a single season in program history.
- The 2022 team earned 16 road wins to set the mark, while the 2015 team picked up 13 victories in road contests for the second most.
