Baseball announces 'Bark in the Park' for April 21

Fans may register their dogs in advance and enjoy the action from the YETI Yard as the Horns take on TCU!
Texas Baseball is proud to announce that Bark in the Park is back at UFCU Disch-Falk Field for the Longhorns game versus TCU on Sunday, April 21 at 1 p.m. (presented by Texas Disposal Systems)! If your dog is the No. 1 Longhorns fan in your household, this is the perfect opportunity to bring your favorite furry friend to the ballpark and let them see their burnt orange heroes in action!
Bark in the Park guests can look forward to an exciting day of baseball with dog-themed programming throughout the game. Dogs will receive Bark in the Park giveaways upon check-in.
The YETI Yard is reserved for Bark in the Park guests and their registered dogs for this game. Capacity is limited, so register today before all spots are filled!
BARK IN THE PARK GUIDELINES – TEXAS BASEBALL ON SUNDAY, APR. 21
In order to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all fans and dogs in attendance, Texas Athletics has instituted the following policies and parameters surrounding Bark in the Park on Sunday, Apr. 21, 2024.
All Bark in the Park guests must fill out necessary paperwork no later than Tuesday, April 16 (or until capacity is reached). Once completed, your paperwork will be reviewed and you will be notified via email of your confirmation.
No walk-up guests with dogs will be allowed entry.
Dog owners must sign a liability release and confirm the following:
- The dog has current registration and vaccinations including rabies, DHLP, parvo, and bordetella.
- The dog is old enough (min. 4 months old) to be around other dogs and people.
- The dog must be in good health and free from parasites.
- The dog must be able to walk up and down flights of stairs or be easily carried up and down stairs by their owner.
- The dog is comfortable in large crowds and is not excessively fearful around humans, other dogs, or loud noises.
- The dog has not been determined to be a Dangerous Dog in any county. The dog does not have a history of being overly aggressive towards humans or other dogs.
- The dog does well on leash. Dogs must remain on leash at all times.
On gameday, the YETI Yard will be exclusively reserved for Bark in the Park guests. This area, located outside the ballpark in left field, may be access via Disch-Falk Drive. Guests should check-in at the designated Bark in the Park check-in station outside the YETI Yard entrance and receive a wristband for entry. Bark in the Park dogs may only enter/exit the YETI Yard.
Parameters
- Only one approved dog per one adult guest. Dogs must be supervised by persons 18 years of age or older at all times.
- All dogs must be under control, on a leash, and in view of the owner/handler at all times while on the UFCU Disch-Falk Field stadium block.
- Dogs must wear a collar with current rabies vaccination and registration tags.
- Dog owners/handlers are liable for any injuries or damage caused by their dogs.
- The designated relief zone for dogs, located in the grassy area just south of the Texas Tennis Center across from the YETI Yard, must be used. Dog owners are responsible for picking up and disposing of their dog's waste in specified receptacles.
- Each Bark in the Park guest receives a dog relief bag and disposable dog water bowl upon entry to the YETI Yard.
- There will be a water station for dogs inside the YETI Yard.
- Temporary restrooms designated for Bark in the Park guests are available outside the YETI Yard.
- Dogs are NOT allowed inside any of the ticketed entrances of UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
- No dogs are permitted on the playing field at any point.
- Aggressive or dangerous dogs are prohibited. Dogs showing any aggressive behavior, or any altercation between animals, will result in the immediate removal of the participating animals and their owners from YETI Yard.
- The University's existing policy for service dogs at athletics events continues to apply for those dogs meeting the requirements of a service dog.
