Texas looks to extend winning streak against Iowa State with upcoming three-game weekend
AUSTIN, Texas – Looking to stay in prime position for a Big 12 Conference regular season championship this season, The University of Texas' softball program will open a three-game series against Iowa State at 6 p.m. CT on Friday, April 26 with games being played at Red & Charline McCombs Field.
TELEVISION: Alex Loeb (play by play) and Cat Osterman (analyst) will serve as the talent for the Longhorn Network broadcast.

LEADING OFF
- With its next win, The University of Texas softball program will have earned its 40th victory on the season, marking the fourth consecutive season with 40-or-more wins and fifth in the last sixth complete seasons.
- The Longhorns had 24 wins in 27 games before the COVID-19 pandemic halted the 2020 season before the start of Big 12 play in March.
- If Texas wins one game against Iowa State over the weekend, the Longhorns will set a new program single-season record for most conference wins with 18.

- With five more runs batted in (RBI) as a team, the Texas offense will have been credited with 316 RBI on the season, which would tie the 2013 squad for the fifth most in a single season in program history.
- The 2022 team holds the program's single-season record with 355 RBI.
- Additionally, if the Longhorns manage to score 17 runs throughout the course of the weekend's three-game series against Iowa State, the 2024 Texas offense will tie the 2013 team for fifth on the program's single-season runs scored list.
