No. 5 Women's Track and Field advances nine to NCAA Championships on Saturday

Longhorns qualify both relays on final day of West Prelims.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 5 Texas women's track and field program advanced nine more to the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Saturday night.
The Longhorn women advanced both relays to the championship, ensuring all four Texas relays will compete. The women of Carleta Bernard, Kevona Davis, Kenondra Davis and Dejanea Oakley ran a season-best time of 43.37 and won Heat 3 to advance to the next round.
Oakley later ran the anchor leg of the 4x400-meter relay with Lauren Lewis, Ziyah Holman and Kenondra Davis. The squad ran a season-best time of 3:27.22 and was the second-fastest time of the night. Oakley's anchor leg edged out USC by .06 seconds.
Olivia Howell later ran the second-fastest time in school history in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:12.99. The time was the fourth-fastest of the day and advanced her to the next round.
Emelia Chatfield was the next Longhorn to earn a spot at NCAAs after running a wind-aided time of 12.76 for a season best. Also in the hurdles, Akala Garrett qualified in the 400-meter hurdles with her time of 55.72. It was the third-fastest time of the day.
Holman later took to the track in the 400-meter dash and qualified with her time of 51.57. Oakley later ran the second-fastest qualifying time in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.32w. Kenondra Davis also qualified on time in the 200m at 22.73.
The Longhorns will compete at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., from June 5-8.
