No. 2 Women's Swim and Dive takes down No. 8 NC State and No. 17 Arizona State

Sticklen wins 200 fly at the Eddie Reese Texas Showdown on Saturday.
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 2 Texas women's swimming and diving program won two events of the final day of the Eddie Reese Texas Showdown. The Longhorns defeated No. 8 NC State, 237-115 and beat No. 17 Arizona State, 258-94.
Lillian Nesty started the morning with a fifth-place finish in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:54.10. Campbell Stoll was right behind in sixth with a time of 1:54.37. Grace Cooper added another fifth-place finish for the Longhorns in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.47
Piper Enge and Abby Arens set personal bests in the 200 breaststroke, securing first and fifth place. Enge's time of 2:07.90 moved her to No. 5 on the all-time best performer list and Arens (2:08.88) moved to No. 7.
Emma Sticklen secured the win in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:49.87, meeting the 'A' cut qualifying time and swimming the third fastest time in UT history. Olivia Bray finished right behind in third with a time of 1:53.70.
Jillian Cox (15:41.49) and Kate Hurst (15:51.64) dominated the 1650 freestyle, both meeting the 'A' cut qualifying times and moving to No. 2 and No. 10 on the all-time best performance list.
Texas finished the Eddie Reese Texas Showdown with a second-place finish in the 400-freestyle relay for the Texas 'A' team (Nesty, Sticklen, Gemmell, Cooper) with a time of 3:11.03, meeting the 'A' cut qualifying time and moving to No. 5 on the all-time best performance list.
The Longhorns fell to the No. 1 Virginia Cavaliers, 199-153.
