Longhorns conclude season against Ole Miss on Oct. 26

NORMAN, Okla. — The University of Texas soccer team dropped a 4-2 result at Oklahoma on Sunday afternoon at John Crain Field.

The Longhorns (3-12-1, 1-8 SEC) led by a goal in each half, but the Sooners (10-3-4, 3-3-3 SEC) scored four times over the final 29 minutes to record their first comeback win of the season.

With the victory, Oklahoma has won double-digit matches in consecutive campaigns for the first time since 2015-16.

Four different Sooners found the back of the net, with Alexis Washington delivering the game-winner in the 77^th minute on her Senior Day. Meanwhile, Naomi Clark led the way with four points, notching a game-tying tally in the 62^nd minute and dishing out assists on each of the final two strikes.

In the closing moments of the first half, Amalia Villarreal pushed the Longhorns ahead with her seventh goal of the season.

Villarreal darted from midfield to the 18-yard box, bolting past multiple Oklahoma defenders. The sophomore buried a right-footed shot into the bottom left corner to give Texas its first advantage of the day.

After Clark mounted an equalizer, the Longhorns answered 32 seconds later.

EmJ Cox heaved a throw-in to the six-yard line, creating a logjam right in front of the frame. Audrey Bryant directed the ball forward before Molly MacMillan tapped home her second career tally.

Despite trailing for the second time in the contest, the Sooners leveled the score thanks to Lexi Dendis in the 70^th minute.

Washington registered the game-winning goal at the 76:23 mark and Kayla Keefer added insurance in the 86^th minute.

Texas wraps up its 2025 slate against Ole Miss on Oct. 26 at Mike A. Myers Stadium. The season finale is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Following the conclusion of the match, the Longhorns will host their annual Senior Day ceremony. Texas will honor midfielder Olivia Ahern, defender Toni Lopez, goalkeeper Kendall Sproat and defender Breana Thompson.
