ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 10/10 Texas Football Team (7-3) cut the No. 5/5 Georgia (9-1) lead to 14–10 on a 7-yard touchdown with 5:27 remaining in the third quarter but could not get any closer in a 35–10 defeat at Sanford Stadium Saturday evening.

Sophomore QB Arch Manning completed 27-of-43 passes for 251 yards and a touchdown. Texas was led by sophomore WR Ryan Wingo's nine catches for 62 yards and a score. Junior WR DeAndre Moore Jr. added 75 yards and sophomore WR Emmett Mosley V contributed 66 yards on three receptions. Junior RB Quintrevion Wisner led UT with nine carries for 31 yards (4.1 ypc).

Texas struck first on their game-opening drive, finishing a 13-play, 59-yard drive with a 33-yard field goal from Mason Shipley to take a 3-0 lead with 8:53 left in the first quarter.

Georgia answered on their opening possession in the first quarter when Gunner Stockton found Noah Thomas for a 17-yard touchdown. The Bulldogs then extended their lead early in the second with a 4-yard scoring strike to the same receiver. The Bulldogs carried a 14-3 advantage into halftime.

During the third quarter, after an interception from junior LB Anthony Hill Jr., Texas proceeded to cut into the deficit to four as Manning worked the offense down to the Georgia-19. A sack briefly slowed the drive before a pass interference call moved the ball to the 7-yard line. Manning then found Wingo for a 7-yard touchdown to make it 14-10 with 5:27 remaining in the third.

Georgia sealed the game in the fourth quarter as Stockton hit London Humphreys for a 30-yard touchdown, found tight end Lawson Luckie for a 6-yard score, and later added a 4-yard rushing touchdown to finish 35–10.

Up next, the Longhorns return to Austin to host Arkansas at 2:30 p.m. CT Saturday, Nov. 22, at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. The game will broadcast on ABC.
