No. 1 Men’s Swimming and Diving lands six signees for 2026 class

Longhorns add six elite international and domestic standouts.
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 1 Men's Swimming and Diving team announced six signees for the 2026 class.
Evan Bailey – New Ross, Ireland
An Irish national record holder in the long course 200 freestyle… Tied the national mark with a 1:46.66 at the 2025 World Aquatic Championships, where he finished 16th in the semifinals… Also raced the 100 free in 49.52 and contributed relay legs of 1:47.02 on the 4×200 free and 49.02 on the 4×100 free… Swept the 100 and 200 freestyle titles at the 2025 Irish Open Championships in lifetime bests of 49.15 and 1:47.04.
Austin Carpenter – Dublin, Ohio
Ranked No. 4 according to SwimSwam's Top 20 NCAA Swimming Recruits in the Boys' High School Class of 2026… One of the best pure sprinters in the class, highlighted by a class-leading 42.99 in the 100 free and additional top-tier marks of 19.79 in the 50 free and 1:36.21 in the 200 free… A rapidly rising multi-stroke talent who has dropped from 50.09 to 46.79 in the 100 fly, now ranked 3rd in the class… Also a top-ten performer in the 100 breast with a 53.54 and an impactful medley relay option, backed by breaststroke splits of 23.94/53.03 from Winter Juniors East… Owns a strong 1:48.52 in the 200 IM and brings relay-ready speed across all three freestyle distances, ranking 8th, 1st, and 10th in the 50/100/200 free.
Rowan Cox – Austin, Texas
Ranked No. 2 according to SwimSwam's Top 20 NCAA Swimming Recruits in the Boys' High School Class of 2026… Best-in-class 45.74 performer in the 100 fly and one of the nation's most versatile prospects… Owns elite marks across multiple events, including 1:44.46 in the 200 fly, 1:45.80 in the 200 IM, 1:35.37 in the 200 free, and 47.23 in the 100 back… Ranks top four nationally in the 200 fly, 200 IM, 200 free, and 100 back, with nearly six seconds of improvement this year in the IM alone… Also just shy of the 1:45 barrier in the 200 back and ranked 9th nationally with a 43.70 in the 100 free.
Alexey Glivinskiy – Jerusalem, Israel
A proven international relay force and Olympic newcomer, Glivinskiy anchored Israel's 400 free relay to 4th at the 2025 European Championships with a 48.44 split and made his Olympic debut one month later racing the 400 free relay in Paris… Posted a 1:47.54 in the 200 free and advanced to semifinals in the 200 IM with a personal-best 1:59.00 at the 2025 World Championships in Singapore… Delivered strong relay performances throughout the meet, splitting 1:46.46 and 1:47.42 on Israel's 800 free relay to help secure an 8th-place finish, and leading off the 400 free relay in 48.72.
Laon Kim – Calgary, Alberta, Canada
A premier mid-distance freestyler and one of Canada's top rising talents… Won silver in the 100 free at the 2024 Junior Pan Pacific Championships in a personal best 49.37, an .85 drop from earlier in the summer, and anchored Canada's medley relay in 48.56… Previously broke the Canadian 13–14 national age-group records in every freestyle event and the 400 IM… Owns impressive long course bests with converted yards times of 43.03 in the 100 free, 1:35.87 in the 200 free, 19.95 in the 50 free, and 4:23.46 in the 400 free… His converted 100 free would rank first among all swimmers in the U.S. high school Class of 2026, alongside top-three marks in the 50 and 200 free and a top-10, 500 profile.
Kuzey Tunçelli - Fenerbahçe, Turkey
Ranked as the No. 4 swimmer in the Class of 2026…World Junior Record holder in both the long course and short course 1500-meter freestyle… First Turkish swimmer ever to advance to an Olympic final, placing fifth in the 1500 at the Paris 2024 Games while breaking his own World Junior Record… 2024 European champion in the 1500-meter freestyle and multi-time European Junior champion in the 800 and 1500… Bronze medalist in the 1500 at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships (25 m)… Four-time World Junior champion across the 800 and 1500 freestyle events… Also a gold medalist at the 2023 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival and a two-time Islamic Solidarity Games champion… First 15-year-old in history to break 15 minutes in the 1500 free… Holds personal bests of 7:46.52 in the 800 free and 14:41.22 in the 1500 free long course, along with 7:38.76 and 14:20.64 in short course.
