Men’s Tennis advances two to NCAA Singles round of 32

Senior Sebastian Gorzny and sophomore Sebastian Eriksson were both victorious in the opening matches of the NCAA Singles Championships in Orlando.
Orlando, Fla. – Texas Men's Tennis advanced both senior Sebastian Gorzny and sophomore Sebastian Eriksson to the round of 32 at the NCAA Singles Championships on Tuesday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
No. 12 Gorzny won his opening round match against Ian Mayew of North Carolina, 6-3, 7-6 (2), and will next face 9-16 seed No. 31 Petar Jovanovic of Mississippi State at 10 a.m. ET/9 a.m. CT.
No. 54 Eriksson topped 9-16 seed No. 60 Connor Henry Van Schalkwyk of Baylor, 6-3, 6-3, and will next face the nation's top-ranked player in No. 1 Michael Zheng of Columbia, also at 10 a.m. ET/9 a.m. CT.
The NCAA singles and doubles competition will be conducted November 18-23.
