No. 2 Women’s Swimming’s Cox named SEC Swimmer of the Week

Cox garners second conference weekly honor for 2025-2026 campaign.
AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas sophomore Jillian Cox earned her second Southeastern Conference Swimmer of the Week distinction this season, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
At the Texas Hall of Fame Swimming Invitational, Cox won the 1,650 freestyle and the 500 freestyle, posting a nation's best 15:41.70 and 4:32.92, respectively. The Cedar Park, Texas, native also recorded a 15th-place finish in the 200 freestyle in 1:47.33.
The Longhorns' women's team has claimed six SEC weekly honors this fall: Eva Okaro (Oct. 14), Campbell Stoll (Oct. 28), Nikki Padar (Oct. 28) and Bayleigh Cranford (Oct. 28).
