Texas delivers record-breaking performance in front of home crowd of 8,882.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 4 Texas had six players score in double figures as they secured a 123-51 win over Incarnate Word Monday at Moody Center. The win was the 14th straight home-opening victory for the Longhorns and set a new Moody Center scoring record.
Texas (1-0) was led by Jordan Lee with a career-best 21 points, followed by Madison Booker with 18 and Breya Cunningham with a perfect 7-for-7 outing for 16 points and eight rebounds. Freshman Aaliyah Crump and sophomore Bryanna Preston each added 16 points, a career best for Preston, while Kyla Oldacre contributed 17 points and three boards.
Rori Harmon dished out five assists and grabbed four rebounds as the Longhorns shot 65.4 percent from the field and 82.4 percent from the line. Texas dominated the paint with 66 points and outscored the Cardinals' bench 48-20
Forward Breya Cunningham scored the first basket of Texas's 2025-26 season with a shot in the paint. Following the bucket and an early score by the Cardinals, the Longhorns went on a 27-0 run to take a 29-5 lead, holding Incarnate Word scoreless over a 7:24 period. Texas closed the first quarter ahead 33-8, led by freshman guard Aaliyah Crump with 12 points.
Texas rounded out the half with an extensive 61-28 lead over the Cardinals. Crump finished the half with a leading 14 points, while Madison Booker (10pts) and Jordan Lee (11pts) followed. Harmon dished out four assists on her way to breaking the Texas all-time record. Harmon and Teya Sidberry both led in rebounds with three each.
The Longhorns closed the third quarter on a 20-0 run to take a 97-41 lead over the Cardinals. Booker and Cunningham combined for 13 points during the stretch, while Texas forced seven turnovers and converted them into 10 points.
During the fourth quarter, Preston recorded a career-high 16 points, helping the Longhorns set a new Moody Center scoring record with a 123-51 win. The previous mark was 119-47 against Southeast Missouri last season.
Up next the Longhorns host No. 24 Richmond on Friday, Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m. CT at Moody Center. The game will be televised on SEC Network+.
