Women’s Golf head coach Laura Ianello named co-head coach for Palmer Cup

Arnold Palmer Cup will take place July 3-5, 2026 in Ireland.
AUSTIN, Texas — Texas women's golf head coach Laura Ianello has been named a co-head coach for Team USA for the 2026 Palmer Cup.
Ianello was an assistant coach for Team USA in 2025. In her first season in Austin, Ianello led Texas to three wins and back to the NCAA Championship where they advanced to match play and finished the season T5. The Longhorn had a trio of All-American in 2025 in Farah O'Keefe, Lauren Kim and Cindy Hsu.
O'Keefe and Kim have experience in the Palmer Cup. Both played in the 2025 event with Kim and Team International winning. The year before O'Keefe played on the victorious Team USA. This past fall O'Keefe earned a championship and gold medal with Team USA at the World Amateur Team Championships.
In 1997 Arnold Palmer was approached by the Golf Coaches Association of America regarding lending his name to an international collegiate event between the United States and Great Britain and Ireland. The event would use a Ryder Cup-style format and bring together the top eight collegiate players in the United States against their counterparts from GB&I.
The 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup will be played July 3-5, 2026 in Tralee, Ireland.
