Softball announces full 2026 schedule

The Longhorns will host 26 games at home inside McCombs Field.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Softball head coach Mike White has released the complete schedule for the 2026 softball season. The reigning NCAA National Champions will play 55 total games in the regular season with 26 being played at home inside McCombs Field.
Texas will host the Bevo Classic on Feb. 12-15 and the Longhorn Invitational on Feb. 27-March 1 at home in addition to home SEC series against Ole Miss (March 13-15), Texas A&M (March 27-29), Oklahoma (April 10-12) and Arkansas (April 30-May 2).
The Longhorns will open their 2026 slate on the road at the UTSA Invitational at Roadrunner Field in San Antonio on Feb. 6-8. Texas will take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers at 6:05 p.m. CT on Friday, Feb. 6, for its season opener before facing Washington at 1:05 p.m. and Nebraska at 3:35 p.m. on Feb. 7. The Horns will round out the UTSA Invitational with another doubleheader vs. Washington at 12:35 p.m. and UTSA at 3:05 p.m. on Feb. 8 before returning to the friendly confines of McCombs Field to host the Bevo Classic on Feb. 12-15. First pitch in Texas' home opener against Abilene Christian is slated for 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12. UT will then clash with Ohio State at 5 p.m. and Syracuse at 7:30 p.m. in a doubleheader on Feb. 13 and then again on Feb. 14 (vs. Ohio State at 2:30 p.m.; vs. Syracuse at 5 p.m.). The Longhorns will finish the Bevo Classic against Northern Illinois at Noon on Feb. 15.
Texas will hit the road west for the DeMarini Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., hosted by Stanford on Feb. 20-22. The five-game slate will kick off at 2 p.m. CT vs. the Arizona Wildcats followed by tournament host Stanford at 5 p.m. on Feb. 20. On Feb. 21, UT will go up against Santa Clara at 12:30 followed by Boise State at 3 p.m. The Longhorns will round out their west coast tour will a 10 a.m. matchup vs. Arizona on Feb. 22.
Texas returns home to Austin to host Southeastern Louisiana at 6 p.m. for a midweek matchup on Feb. 25 before hosting the Longhorn Invitational on Feb. 27-March 1 at McCombs Field. The Longhorns will open the weekend against in-state foe Houston at 6 p.m. Feb. 27 and then will play St. Bonaventure at 2:30 p.m. and Prairie View A&M at 5 p.m. on Feb. 28 before wrapping up the weekend with a 2:30 p.m. first pitch vs. Incarnate Word on March 1.
Following the Longhorn Invitational, The Longhorns dive into conference play on the road at South Carolina on March 6-8 and then return to the Forty Acres for a midweek game vs. East Texas A&M at 6 p.m. March 11. Texas' SEC home opening weekend vs. Ole Miss is set for March 13-15. During their league bye weekend, Texas will welcome Baylor to McCombs Field at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 20, and then will travel to Waco, Texas, to battle the Bears at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Getterman Stadium. Texas will travel south on I-35 for midweek action at Texas State at 6 p.m. March 25.
Texas then hosts Texas A&M for the Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown on March 27-29 before hitting the road to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for a clash with the Alabama Crimson Tide on April 3-5. The Longhorns host Oklahoma on April 10-12 and then travel to Athens, Ga., for a road series at Georgia on April 17-19 before returning home to host Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. on April 22. The Horns will jump back on the road as they trek to Kentucky on April 24-26 before wrapping up the regular season at home vs. the Arkansas Razorbacks on April 30-May 2. Kentucky will host the 2026 SEC Tournament on May 5-9 at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington, Ky.
The Longhorns are scheduled to play 36 games against teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament, including 20 games against teams that advanced to Super Regionals. Remaining game times and television assignments will be announced at a later date.
Last season, White skippered Texas to the most successful season in program history, winning the 2025 Women's College World Series National Championship and finishing with a 56-12 overall record.
