Justin Leonard claims first PGA TOUR Champions victory

Former Longhorn wins the Chubb Classic to earn his first victory since the 2008 St. Jude Championship.
NAPLES, Fla. — Former University of Texas star Justin Leonard used a back-nine charge on Sunday afternoon to post a four-stroke victory at the Chubb Classic at Tiburon's Black Course. The win marked the first PGA TOUR Champions victory for Leonard and his first win since the last of his 12 PGA TOUR titles at the 2008 St. Jude Championship.
Leonard, the 1992 U.S. Amateur winner and 1994 NCAA individual champion, birdied five of the last seven holes on Sunday to post a 4-under 68 in the final round. He registered a 54-hole score of 15-under-par 201 (68-65-68) to finish four strokes clear of Billy Andrade at 11-under 205.
The 52-year-old Texan won in his 45th career start on the 50-and-over tour.
