No. 14/NR Track and Field’s Humphries and Kowalski climb school's all-time performer list

Freshman Meagan Humphries moves to No. 4 on school’s pentathlon list.
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The No. 14/NR Texas track and field team took on the New Mexico Collegiate Classic and saw Meagan Humphries and Sophia Kowalski climb the Texas All-Time performer list.
Humphries moved to No. 4 on the Pentathlon All-Time Performer list after scoring 3,887 points and finished fourth. She opened the day running the 60-meter hurdles in 8.76 for a personal best. Humphries later cleared 1.67m (5-5.75) in high jump before throwing 9.86m (32-9.5) in shot put. She added a jump of 5.72m (18-9.25) and ran the 800-meter in 2:20.05 to close the performance. It's a new personal best in just her second collegiate pentathlon.
Kowalski cleared 4.17m (13-8.25) in the pole vault 'A' competition and moved to No. 6 on the All-Time Performer List. Isabella Coscetti won the women's 'B' pole vault section with a personal best bar of 4.02m (13-2.25). Sophomore Sasha Harber was seventh in her season opener after clearing 3.72m (12-2.5)
Sophomore Brock Lewis sits in fifth after four events of the men's heptathlon scoring a day-one personal best 2,868 points. The freshman opened the day three personal bests – the 60-meter dash (7.24), shot put (12.26m / 40-2.75) and the high jump (1.87m / 6-1.5). He later recorded a jump of 6.77m (22-2.5) in the long jump, good for a season best and an indoor personal best.
Aaliyah Foster was the runner-up in the women's long jump recording a mark of 6.42m (21-0.75), just four centimeters off her personal best. Tabea Eitel was seventh at 6.09m (19-11.75) with a six-centimeter personal best.
The men's side saw Kelsey Daniel finish fifth (7.60m / 24-11/25) and Solomon Washington finish seventh (7.59m / 24-11).
John Rutledge (20.86) and Xavier Butler (20.98) competed in the 200-meter invitational and finished seventh and eighth, respectively. In the 200m unseeded competition, Kendrick Smallwood recorded a personal best time of 20.96. Chris Brinkley (21.37), Damon Frabotta (21.47) and Nabil Tezkratt (21.81) closed out the rest of the competitors.
On the women's side, Ramiah Elliott posted the top time in the 200m invitational for Texas in 23.17. Kenondra Davis finished in 23.19 and Carleta Bernard crossed the line in 23.23.
