No. 8 Beach Volleyball falls to No. 4 USC at Death Volley Invitational

The Longhorns finish the Death Volley Invitational 1-3 to move to 17-8 on the season.
BATON ROUGE, Louisiana - No. 8 Texas Beach Volleyball closed the Death Volley Invitational, 1-3, falling to No. 4 USC, 0-3.
The Trojans secured the first point against the Longhorns with a 21-16, 21-17 win over the No. 2 pair of Emma Grace Robertson and Katie Hashman. After forcing extra points in the first sets, the No. 4 pair of Macey Butler and Noa Sonneville and the No. 5 pair of Ava Patton and Kylie Wickley both fell to the Trojans, 22-24, 12-21 and 20-22, 17-21.
Maddison Parmelly and Karin Zolnercikova lead the Longhorns for the season with a 17-6 record (16-6 at No. 3 and 1-0 at No. 2). The pairs of Hashman and Robertson (6-3 at No. 1 and 9-7 at No. 2) and Butler and Sonneville (10-7 at No. 4 and 5-2 at No. 5) boast 15 wins for Texas. Chloe Charles and Eva Liisa Kuivonen add a 12-9 record, undefeated at the No. 2 position.
Up next, the Longhorns travel to Tallahassee, Florida for the FSU Unconquered Invitational on April 4-5 to face South Carolina, FSU, USF, LSU, and FAU.
