No. 6 Women’s Golf tied for fourth after day one of SEC Championship

O’Keefe shoots 3-under 67 to lead Texas in round one.
BELLEAIR, Fla. — The Texas women's golf team made eight birdies on the back nine holes and surged into a tie for fourth place after the opening round of the SEC Championship at Pelican Golf Club on Monday.
The Longhorns opened with a 1-under par 279 team score. South Carolina leads with a 14-under opening round. LSU is at 5-under, Auburn at 4-under and Ole Miss and Texas tied at 1-under.
Farah O'Keefe carded a 3-under 67 and made four birdies in a five hole stretch from holes 13-17. O'Keefe is tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard. Lauren Kim and Cindy Hsu each recorded scores of 1-under par and are T16 on the individual leaderboard.
The Longhorns will be paired with Ole Miss and Florida in round two and will tee off hole 10 at 7:10 a.m. CT.
The Lineup
Farah O'Keefe made six birdies in her round of 3-under 67. O'Keefe made four birdies on the back nine holes. On hole 18 she pitched onto the green and saved par to finish her round.
Lauren Kim birdied holes 15, 16 and 17 to closer her round at 1-under 69. Kim made five birdies for her round.
Cindy Hsu was 2-under through nine holes and made three birdies for her round to finish with a 1-under 69.
Angela Heo made one birdie in the rounds and finished with a round of 4-over 74.
Bohyun Park birdied the fifth hole on the course and carded a 9-over 79.
