No. 6 Women’s Golf advances to match play of SEC Championship

Farah O'Keefe earns runner-up honors in stroke play portion of championship.
BELLEAIR, Fla. — The Texas women's golf team carded 14 birdies and advanced to match play at the SEC Championship at Pelican Golf Club on Wednesday. Texas will be the No. 3 seed and take on No. 6 seed Arkansas in the quarterfinals of match play on Thursday morning.
The Longhorns concluded the third round of the tournament with a 4-under 276 and finished stroke play at 5-under for the tournament. South Carolina will be the No. 1 seed with a 16-under score and LSU is the No. 2 seed with a 10-under score.
Farah O'Keefe carded a 2-under 68 in the third round and finished tied for runner-up honors with a 5-under total score. Lauren Kim carded a 2-under 68 to finish at 4-under for the stroke play portion and T5 on the leaderboard. This marks back-to-back seasons O'Keefe and Kim have finished in the top-five at the conference championship.
Angela Heo shot a 1-under 69 in the third round of the tournament and finished T31 on the leaderboard.
The Longhorns are scheduled to face No. 6 seed Arkansas and will tee off at 7:50 a.m. CT off hole 10.
The Lineup
Lauren Kim went 3-under over her first nine holes and carded the score of 2-under 68. Kim made three birdies and finished T5 on the individual leaderboard.
Farah O'Keefe made three birdies and went 2-under over her final nine holes and concluded with a score of 2-under 68 and is T2 for the tournament.
Angela Heo carded three birdies and posted a score of 1-under 69 in the third round. Heo finished T31 for the stroke play portion of the event.
Cindy Hsu went 1-over 71 in the third round and carded three birdies over her first nine holes with a total of four birdies in this round. Hsu finished T37 on the leaderboard.
Bohyun Park birdied the 12th hole and went 2-over 72 in her final round and finished T57 on the individual leaderboard.
