No. 8 Beach Volleyball goes undefeated in FSU Unconquered Invitational

The Longhorns defeat three conference opponents while in Tallahassee.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla - No. 8 Texas Beach Volleyball secured wins against No. 10 LSU (3-2) and No. 15 FAU (4-1) to remain undefeated in the FSU Unconquered Invitational. The Longhorns defeated three conference opponents to move to 3-1 in the CCSA and 21-8 overall for the 2025 season.
Texas began the day with a 2-0 lead against the Tigers with a 21-10, 21-12 win from Maddison Parmelly and Karin Zolnercikvoa on the No. 3 court followed by a 21-17, 21-17 win from Emma Grace Robertson and Katie Hashman on the No. 2 court. LSU tied up the dual with wins against the No. 1 (Chloe Charles/Eva Liisa Kuivonen) and No. 5 (Vivian Johnson/Carys Patton) pairs, 21-17, 21-13 and 15-21, 21-18, 15-12. Macey Butler and Noa Sonneville battled in three sets to secure the win for the Longhorns on the No. 3 court, 19-21, 21-17, 15-10.
The Longhorns returned for its second dual of the day with a 21-15, 21-10 win from Butler and Sonneville (No. 4) followed by a 21-16, 21-14 win from Charles and Kuivonen (No. 1). Parmelly and Zolnercikova added a 21-18, 21-17 win on the No. 3 court with Hashman and Robertson adding a 22-20, 22-20 win on the No. 2 court. The Owls scored its only point against the No. 5 pair of Johnson and Patton in a three set battle, 16-21, 21-15, 15-12.
The Longhorns dominated the No. 3 and No. 4 courts with the pairs of Parmelly and Zolnerickova and Butler and Sonneville boasting 4-0 records for the weekend.
Up next, the Longhorns head home for the Lone Star Invitational on April 18-19 hosting Southern Mississippi, North Florida, and Cal Poly.
