The Longhorns are the only team in the nation to have finished in the top four of the final rankings six of the last seven years.
Austin – The University of Texas Men's Tennis team was No. 3 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings of the 2025 season released Wednesday. That makes the Longhorns the only team in the nation to have finished in the top four of the final rankings in six of the last seven years.
Texas earned a No. 2 ranking in 2024, No. 3 in 2023, finished No. 12 in an injury-plagued 2022 season, and was No. 3 in 2021, No. 4 in 2020, and No. 1 in 2019 after winning the National Championship.
The Longhorns finished the 2025 season with their third-straight Final Four appearance and fifth in the last six years. They were also the SEC regular season and tournament champions in their debut year in the conference and reached the semifinals of the ITA National Indoor Championships. Texas closed with a 29-5 record with the 29 victories matching the 2019 team for the most in a season dating back to 1975 when teams began playing shorter schedules.
