AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas Women's Golf head coach Laura Ianello has announced the signing of Vivian Lu, an elite collegiate golfer from New Zealand who is transferring from the University of Washinton.
Lu brings an impressive resume to the Forty Acres, including one individual collegiate victory this season and five top-11 finishes. She is currently ranked No. 68 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and is expected to be a key contributor for the Longhorns over the next two seasons.
"Vivian is coming to Texas with a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in college golf," Ianello said. "She's been coached by the legendary Mary Lou Mulflur at Washington, and we're excited to add her experience, talent, and competitive spirit to our team."
Lu earned First Team All-Big Ten honors in the 2024-25 season and was named to the final fall watch list for the Annika Award.
"Texas is going to be a force to reckon with now that we have Vivian joining the roster," Ianello said. "We look forward to what's ahead with Vivian in burnt orange."
