No. 5 Women’s Golf wraps up second round at NCAA Championship

Farah O’Keefe fires back-to-back rounds of 3-under 69 and is T1 on the leaderboard.
CARLSBAD, Calif. – Junior Farah O'Keefe carded her second straight round of 3-under 69 to lead the Texas women's golf team on day two at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa on Saturday.
The Longhorn carded a team score of 2-over 290 and are in eighth place on the team leaderboard. Stanford is on top of the team leaderboard at 12-under.
O'Keefe made four birdies on her round and was 3-under on her first nine holes of the round. O'Keefe is tied for the overall lead with three other players.
"I felt like I was very patient," O'Keefe said. "I hit good shots. My goal yesterday was to get off to an easy start and not make too many mistakes and give myself some looks at birdies and keep it really simple. I feel like my putter has been doing great so far. My pace has been fantastic. Any putt I miss is only a foot by."
Texas will tee off in the third round on the first hole at 9:25 a.m. CT
The Lineup
Farah O'Keefe carded her second straight round of 3-over 69 and is tied for the tournament lead. Her 6-under 138 is tied for her best 36 hole start at the NCAA Championship. O'Keefe birdied holes 13, 15 and 18 on her first nine holes and birdied hole 6.
Cindy Hsu carded a round of 1-over 73. Hsu made two birdies for her second round of the NCAA Championship.
Lauren Kim carded a round of 4-over 76 in the second round of the NCAA Championship.
Angela Heo made three birdies in her round and carded a score of 2-over 74 for the second round.
Selina Liao made back-to-back birdies on holes 15 and 16 and carded a round of 2-over 74.
